Thank you for continuing to highlight spiritual and emotional abuse in church organisations. The anonymous letter in this month’s edition, (en April 2024 p.7), has prompted me to write in for the first time.
There have been so many high-profile cases of spiritual abuse coming to light now, in large organisations, and I thank those, like Matt Redman (whose documentary Let There Be Light was recently released) and Nay Dawson, who are seeking to bring the problems out of the shadows. Abuse is still occurring in smaller organisations too, hurting people whose pleas are being swept under the carpet, as evidenced by this anonymous writer (whom I don’t know, by the way).
