Dear Editor,
Nay Dawson’s article was uncomfortable to read. Whatever happened to: ‘Do everything without complaining’? We seem to caveat that with ‘unless it’s justified’… which isn’t Scriptural. I understand where Nay is coming from, but I’m not put out by (or envious of) the male favouritism she talks about, rather I’m so glad I’m not part of those circles! What was outrageous about the ‘blokes worth watching’ article was the given assumption that Christ – our glorious, abundant, life-giving vine – might need the support of a rotten, broken trellis (insert LOL emoji here)! I will be grateful that God made me a woman, I pray I never seek anyone’s affirmation of my position but His. (Perhaps, therefore, it’s a blessing when women are overlooked!) It isn’t training that the church is in desperate need of anyway, it is prayer!
