In the March 2022 edition there was a most interesting and instructive article about Ronaldo Andre and his ministry in Nepal and now in the UK. The article shows how ‘easy believing’ does not really cause a deep-down change in a person. That has to be a work of the Holy Spirit.
It was particularly striking how Andre ‘uses the law to address the condition of the person before God: we are all sinners, no matter how good we consider ourselves to be. Then – and only then – do I present grace: Jesus Himself’. This is surely what Paul meant in Galatians 3:24 (The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ – AV).
Surely unless we are brought to see our sin before a holy God, we will see no need of the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Saviour of sinners? This was how the preachers of old proclaimed the gospel – may we follow in their steps.
