Dear Editor,
Having been trained in the Anglican ministry some 40 years ago and still ministering, I have come to the conclusion that many conservative Evangelicals have unwittingly sold their scientific understanding to the presuppositions of a secular worldview concerning the overseer-ship of our planet, no longer accepting the Biblical narrative of God’s government of his own creation.
Mankind is regarded as the measure by which we judge the state of our planet. So different to the prophets, the apostles and Christ himself.
There is a great danger that in many subjects, evangelicals only go to one source for our information and in the case of climate issues it is the BBC. Robin Aitken a former BBC journalist has shown conclusively that the BBC is dogmatically biased on many issues including ‘climate science’.
It is my prayer that en will desist from a ‘cancel culture’ and broaden its spiritual approach to this vital topic.
