Dear Editor,
The last few months of worshipping over the internet, Zoom or other ‘virtual’ means, has been encouraging, intriguing and, at times, frustrating. It is good to see (in my limited experience) how innovative churches and their leadership teams have been in keeping fellowships alive and well as we have been unable to meet physically for Sunday worship and midweek meetings. I thank the Lord for the splendid gifts He has graciously given to so many people.
As well as having input from our own church musicians, which has been much appreciated, a lot of use has been made of Worship Lyric Videos (WLV) to support the hymn/song singing. Good as some of those are, the American style and accents begin to grate after a while and one longs for something in a more English vein. (I won’t get started on UK singers who put on faux US intonations when they sing!)
