Dear Sir,

How good was Sarah Allen’s article ‘The War on Plastic’ – that latest earthly crisis (inevitably involving David Attenborough) that the media has decided that we all must focus on.

Perceptively, she is aware of how easy it is to be sidetracked and preoccupied with a subject that has its importance but, for the Christian redeeming time (Eph. 5:15-16), their slogan should be ‘Let the dead bury their dead’ (Matt. 8:22). As Matthew Henry puts it: ‘Let worldly offices be left to worldly people.’
