Dear Sir,
Your report in the August en of the Bala Minister’s Conference and its ‘Welshness’ (though I assume using English?) reminds me, though not directly connected, of a common issue these days with the growth of ethnic congregations that I do not recall being discussed in your paper.
In the church I belong to, we have always sought to welcome groups from our multi-ethnic community. Presently we have Farsi and Roma congregations meeting (and formerly a Shona group). But when there has been a request, for example from an African group, to meet on our premises using English, our response has been ‘We already have English language services. Please join us.’ Is such an approach justified?
