Dear en,
Thank you for Esther Lowry’s no-holds-barred article look in the January en. I forward to more articles by her. We must listen to the voice of Christians living with constant pain, for whom healing seems only to be in the future while present experience is made worse by lack of empathy from fellow believers.
I would, however, like to suggest an exception to Esther’s description of formulaic, unrealistic Christian novels – The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers. This book deals with real issues in a way that acknowledges that Christians can do awful things.
