Dear Sir,
How encouraging were the testimonies (en August) of Ivor Poobalan and Billy McCurrie! They left me feeling blessed and encouraged in my own walk following Jesus.
This got me thinking as to the reasons for this. I was reminded that throughout the Gospels and the Epistles we are exhorted to encourage and uplift each other. Why then do we hear so little of the testimonies of brothers and sisters in the fellowships we attend, or of newcomers to our churches?
I don’t think I have ever been invited to share my own testimony with others and rarely have I heard a church leader give out such an invitation.
