Dear Editor,
I write as one of the leaders of an evangelical church in the East Midlands. Our town has a population of approximately 14,000 people, and there are plans to build several thousand new homes here in the coming years. We are prayerfully exercised about reaching out to the folk who will be moving into the town.
We envisage systematic visitation as the new homes become occupied, and would like to put together a welcome pack with local information, as well as information about the church and its activities. We know that other churches have done this in their own areas. To avoid ‘re-inventing the wheel’ we would be grateful to hear from any who have experience or ideas to share. It would be interesting to see materials that others have produced for their situations.
