Dear Sir,
As an alternative to an unremitting diet of expository preaching, JEB suggests: ‘would-n’t it be helpful… for a church to be taken through its Confession of Faith showing its biblical basis’ (February EN ). It ought to prove helpful, but might there be the danger of exposing the extent to which contemporary leaders do not follow the convictions of those who founded the church? Some churches might prefer to let such departures from original statements pass unnoticed!
Yours sincerely,
