The Surrey-based Cleaford Christian Trust raised sufficient funds earlier this year for an enlarged dining room at the Harghita Christian Camp – a centre for evangelism in Romania. The deadline of having the large room ready for the summer camping programme was met!
Erika Joo, manager of the camp, writes, ‘We are thankful for the summer opportunity of sharing the gospel, for our gracious God’s presence, for the conversions and revivals. The children’s week at the beginning of July was followed by a group of disabled people, then a camp for Romany youngsters. After an “intellectual week” there was a pastors’ meeting, and then the National Youth Camp. We are grateful that during the children’s camp there has been some kind of positive change in almost every child’s life. Many of them took the most important decision of their lives, to follow Jesus Christ. Our goal has been that all the children would sense Jesus Christ’s love through the Word and fellowship, regardless of whether they come from a Christian or non-Christian background.’
