It came as a complete surprise when James Hindson received an email from Pastor Tom Ochuka in Kenya in response to his article in the September 2013 issue of EN on Creation Care.
Inspired by the article, Tom wanted James to visit Kenya to provide training for pastors of the Africa Inland Church on Creation Care. As a result of the invitation, James visited Kenya and stayed with Tom and his family and met with groups of church leaders to assess what role he could play, if any, in supporting Tom in his work as Health and Environment coordinator for the AIC churches in the Nyanza District.
As a result, James is returning in July to provide a short course at the AIC Theological College in western Kenya and working with Tom to write materials for different groups on caring for creation.
