Over recent years, biblical hymnody has been generally dominated by the work of Stuart Townend and Keith Getty.
However, many Reformed Christians who look for contemporary music in their worship have been discovering the worth of hymns coming out from a group of singers and songwriters who work together under the banner of ‘Indelible Grace’ (this of course is a phrase from Augustus Toplady’s great hymn, ‘A debtor to mercy alone’).
Headed up by the Rev. Kevin Twit, Campus Minister, Reformed University Fellowship at Belmont University, this group, including artists such as Sandra McCracken, Matthew Smith and Katie Bowser, concentrates on setting old hymn texts of theological weight to modern tunes.
