Edinburgh looks at  the Nicene Creed

Church History lecturer Zachary Purvis

Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS) held its annual conference in September, focused on the theme ‘We believe – why the Nicene Creed matters today.’

Now in its third year, the conference, which was held at St Columba’s Free Church in the centre of Edinburgh, featured a variety of speakers including lecturers from the Seminary, following ETS Principal Iver Martin’s initial welcome.

Speakers provided confessional reformed instruction about why creeds and confessions are important for church life today, in the 1,700th year since the Nicene Creed’s creation.
