Welsh pastors meet by Bala

Just over 60 ministers gathered together for the Evangelical Movement of Wales’ ministers’ conference this summer, where they were helped to deal with the challenges of contemporary culture.

It is a pastoral conference set in one of the most beautiful places in north Wales – the Bryn-y-Groes Conference Centre by the lake in Bala (pictured). The main speaker was Tim Gill, pastor of Newtown Evangelical Church, who gave three messages from Ephesians, entitled ‘To Him be Glory in the Church’.

Daniel Hames (Union) urged us to read the Church Fathers and Rhodri Glyn opened up lessons from the 19th-century Welsh preacher John Elias. Owen Batstone helped us navigate our way through the culture of the day.
