Richard Coekin enters ‘new season’

Richard Coekin

Richard Coekin is stepping down as Senior Pastor at Dundonald Church and Mission Director of Co-Mission in 2024 to pursue a ‘new season’ of ‘ministry, training and equipping church leaders’.

Coekin has ‘faithfully and courageously served’, declared a statement from the trustees of the Co-Mission Churches Trust, Co-Mission Initiative Trust and the Dundonald Church Governing Elders.

He has been Senior Pastor over 28 years and for the last 18 years has been Mission Director of Co-Mission. The trustees said: ‘We hope that Richard will take up “Emeritus” roles at both Dundonald Church and Co-Mission, and are wholly supportive of him giving his time from summer 2024 to developing the new ‘Pebble’ initiative offering consultancy and training for pastors and church leadership teams as part of the new “Reach Ministries” work.
