Coventry-based Christian media ministry Go Chatter Videos has been able to recruit five apprentices as part of the government’s Kickstart scheme.
Kickstart is designed to help 16–24-year-olds on Universal Credit find work at a time when it is scarcer due to the pandemic. CEO Dan Rackham said that, despite Go Chatter’s small staff size, all the applications had been granted and each apprentice was ‘exceptional’. The team started in September and will be funded for six months. They have been learning skills ranging from animating and marketing to website design.
‘It’s been fantastic to have an injection of energy in the run-up to Christmas, and to see the team flourishing,’ said Dan. ‘We’d love to keep them on as full-time employees, and are trying to find ways to make that possible financially.’
