The Word on the Wash, a two-day gathering in Norfolk, met for the fifth time in September.
The main speaker, Steve Auld, gave three hard-hitting talks on Titus – focusing on the challenges facing a young pastor, and his church leaders, in the context of ancient Crete’s pagan culture.
Eric Ortland, from Oak Hill College, spoke on God’s dealings with Job, the wealthiest man in the East of his day, and how losses can reveal our personal motivation and relationship with God. The afternoon sessions included two very challenging seminars by Alan and Elaine Storkey on contemporary issues – the international arms race, and violence against women in today’s society.
