On the evening of Saturday August 10, ‘Changed by Love – Grace Without Borders’ was hosted by Bethel Christian Assembly, Shalford and Word of Life Church, Woking.
Supported by Core Issues Trust, it featured live and video interviews, music and testimonies, including from former members of the LGBT community who had experienced the love and power of Christ. The event came on the day of Surrey Pride in Woking. Invitations had been distributed by members of both churches to attend the meeting or to watch it live on Facebook. About 60 attended and 3,800 people viewed the clip online, with an overall reach of 11,065 people.
The inspiration for the evening came from an increasing concern at seeing the prominence and stridency of the LGBT agenda elsewhere in the country, and from prayer. Churches can challenge this agenda and take opportunities to share how the gospel changes and rescues those struggling with LGBT issues.
