The October edition of EN published a letter from Revd Jonathan Fletcher, responding to the serious allegations of abuse that he has admitted, and which had been reported in the August edition.

In order to avoid any misunderstanding the Managing Editor and the Board of Directors wish to make clear, as was explained in an editorial comment accompanying the letter, that EN in no way endorses Jonathan Fletcher’s letter.

Furthermore, EN in no way regards the letter’s publication as a conclusion of the matters to which it refers. Its publication was simply a factual report of a statement, which was already in the public sphere, and which Jonathan Fletcher requested to be published. A number of agencies are conducting ongoing investigations into the allegations that have been made against Jonathan Fletcher, and EN will continue to accurately report any further developments.
