Following May’s local elections and with many new councillors in post, Christians in Politics introduced the Councillors’ Prayer Network to a new batch of councillors.
There are thousands of Christians serving in local government all over the UK. At Christians in Politics events, amazing stories of transformation are heard from those who are involved in these vital (but often thankless) roles.
Additional tensions
Serving within local government can be challenging at the best of times. And for Christians there are often additional tensions to contend with, trying to remain firmly rooted in Christ and living out kingdom values, whilst working within the political system and trying to best represent the communities they serve.
