Prayer Fellowship for South Asia was relaunched as 5:17 at its Spring day of prayer on 28 April.
Fifty-five people gathered at St John’s Church, Southall. Some who were interested to go to South Asia were there for the first time. Based on 1 Thessalonians 5, v.17, ‘pray continually’, with sharing for five minutes and praying for 17 minutes, six presentations were given spanning the work amongst South Asians in the UK, Sri Lanka, North India, and the Diaspora. The intensity and fervency of prayer was tangible throughout the day.
We had the privilege of welcoming visitors from Pakistan and North India who provided updates on the latest news from South Asia. Two ‘open mic’ sessions allowed others to share their concerns and expand awareness of some of the needs and issues around the world.
