Restoring Wesley House

In Hinckley, during February, 20 people from Trinity Community Church (TCC) got together for a ‘work day’ restoring an old Wesleyan chapel called Wesley House.

TCC was planted in 2010 by 15 people, and now over 100 people gather in a school hall each week. Many of the congregation are new Christians.

The chapel had closed for worship services back in 1880 and accommodated a number of different businesses since. It was purchased in September 2017 to be restored by TCC. In total, the building project will cost around £250,000. This includes the first stage of refurbishment, which involved removing all the internal walls and fittings, decorating the offices, levelling the ground floor and removing second-floor ceilings in preparation for a vaulted ceiling.
