Greta Alexander 1928 –2017

A large number of friends gathered at St Paul’s Church of Scotland, Milngavie, on Friday 12th May, for the Thanksgiving Service for Greta Alexander.

Both her son Ronald and son-in-law the Revd Alistair Horne took part in the service as did the Revd Murdo Maclean.

A heart-warming ten-minute address was given by her husband the Revd Eric Alexander himself. He spoke on three small words which had been laid on his heart while sitting by her bedside during the last week of her life. On the first occasion they met, Greta told him that she had been in Christ since she was 14 years old. He then spoke of how she lived for Christ in every area of life, and lastly that she is now with Christ.
