On 19 November over 100 men, mainly from the Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch conurbation, gathered at Christ Church Westbourne for the third annual Men’s Convention.
The theme for the day was ‘Men of the Word’. Mike Cain (senior pastor, Emmanuel, Bristol) and Jonny Pearse (pastor, Grace Baptist Church, Southport) preached from Psalm 119, Luke 1 and Revelation 1.
Mike and Jonny’s preaching gave uplifting and encouraging insights into the Bible. They focussed on the word that brings life and comfort (Psalm 119), and the word that brings blessing (Revelation 1) and certainty (Luke 1). Inspiring and well chosen songs created a great atmosphere for worship, ably led by Phil Downes from Moordown Baptist Church.
