Lord Shinkwin, a Conservative Peer asked the government in November why they had not answered his letter from March concerning NIPT prenatal screening.

The Secretary of State for Health had not responded to Lord Shinkwin’s request for a meeting with him and people with Down’s syndrome and their representatives to discuss concerns about the introduction of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). The government gave the go ahead for the screening to be introduced by 2018.
