On 5 November, Cornerstone Church, Nottingham, played host to the very first Midlands Men’s Convention.
Close to 400 men gathered to think through ‘All In: Living the Whole of Life for Christ’, particularly to consider the transforming power of the gospel in three areas: at home, at work and at church.
Living ‘all in’
The theme was introduced by Marcus Nodder (St Peter’s Barge, London). He emphasised how, because of Christ’s total commitment, God accepts us and enables us to live ‘all in’. Jonty Allcock (The Globe Church, London) explored the call in Ephesians 3 for people to be partners, not passengers, in God’s perfect plan for the church. Neil Powell (City Church Birmingham) persuaded the Convention not to see home as a place to switch off, but rather a place to invest in.
