New life for iconic church in Edinburgh

One of Edinburgh’s most iconic church buildings, the former St George’s West in Shandwick Place, has re-opened as the new home of Charlotte Chapel (a Baptist church).

The Grade A listed building has just completed a £2 million internal facelift bringing new life to this important West End landmark.

The congregation of around 600 moved in on Sunday 29 May from their current location in Rose Street where they’ve gathered for almost 200 years.
