Building hope in Horsham

The Furus family

On 6 February 150 people gathered for the induction of Calix Furus as pastoral elder of Rehoboth Baptist Church (RBC), Horsham.

Calix, with his wife Bea and three children; Klaudio, Tea and Ramon moved to Horsham in January. Focussing on leading teaching and outreach, he joins the established eldership team. Calix and Bea Furus came to the UK from Hungary in 2011 when he took the position of assistant pastor at Copse Road Chapel, Clevedon also working as a part time Outreach UK evangelist.

Trevor Dickerson, UK Director for Outreach UK, gave the charge to Calix from 2 Timothy 4.1-5, and Paul Reed brought a powerful challenge to the church from 1 Thessalonians 5.12-15 reminding them of their responsibilities to those in leadership.
