A new vision for the Fens

Terrington St Clements Parish Church, where Robert & Helen Slipper will host the conference

September 11–12 sees a new initiative in rural Norfolk much in need of life-changing Bible teaching.

‘Word on the Wash’ is a weekend conference hosted by Terrington St Clements Parish Church, near Kings Lynn. The Fens and the area around the Wash may not seem like a dramatic mission field and it is not served by many major roads, but there is a real spiritual need.

Men’s Breakfast

‘Sitting round the kitchen table in a country cottage planning a big event has a certain sense of adventure!’ said John Wallis. The story behind this started in 2001, when John and his wife Kathleen retired from ministry in North London, and moved to the village of Grimston in West Norfolk. Very soon John began to have a prayer burden for the area, where the level of teaching and spiritual motivation, especially among many Anglican congregations, was very low. The result was the initiation of a regular Men’s Breakfast, which has become very popular among local churches across the region. Among the speakers have been Lord Richard Dannatt, Professor John Wyatt and, more recently, Manoj Raithatha.
