Building work is underway at Moorlands College, Christchurch, in an ambitious £3million campus redevelopment, it was reported at the end of 2014.
The new buildings, with their large windows looking out into the New Forest, will include a multi-functional auditorium seating upwards of 350 people and a communal hub and dining room for fellowship. The college hopes the new buildings will be of enormous help in their commitment to equip students spiritually, practically, academically and relationally.
Forward thinking
Staff, students, board members and supporters have undertaken many fundraising efforts and, with the help of many others who share Moorlands’s passion to see tomorrow’s evangelical leaders equipped for the task ahead, the college has already raised £2.6 million of the £3 million target– enough to complete the initial phase of the project. The final £400,000 will provide furnishings, kitchen facilities, a new reception area and audio-visual equipment. In faith, the college began digging foundations in early January, hoping that not a penny will need to be borrowed.
