A decade for Bristol

Naomi Skull, who led one of the seminars

On March 1, more than 300 women from across the South West gathered at the new larger venue of Abbeywood Community School in Bristol for the tenth Bristol Women’s Conference.

Kath Paterson gave two heart-searching talks based on chapters from the book of Isaiah and the theme of ‘Idols of the Heart’. Kath first explained how our idols are created and why they are so useless and dangerous. In the second talk, she made clear how and why Jesus, the ‘Idol Crusher’ is the only one to defeat and replace our idols.

These talks were complemented by a broad range of seminars on subjects such as identity, biblical meditation, serving God in the workplace, how to use the Uncover resource to open the Bible with our friends and sharing the good news with Muslims.
