Clifton: providence twice

Members of the family of the church’s founder, D H Hale

On November 17, Providence Baptist Church, Clifton, Bedfordshire, celebrated the church’s 100th anniversary.

A special service of thanksgiving was held at the Community Centre, Clifton. The service was led by Ken Houghten and Nick Angell interviewed some current members of the congregation.

The church was founded by Mr D H Hale and many of his family members attended the service, including his grandson who spoke about D H Hale’s life and the early days of the church in Clifton. Dr. Ray Evans (Kempston, Bedford) preached on Ephesians 6.10-20.
