October 26 saw Thatcham Community Church in West Berkshire playing host to a packed congregation as it carried out the ordination and induction of its founding pastor Hedley Clemo.
Bev Savage, previously General Secretary of the FIEC, officiated, while the former pastor of Charlotte Chapel, Peter Grainger, preached from 2 Timothy 4.1-5.
In giving the charge to ‘preach the Word’, Peter spoke of three aspects: 1) motivation — because of his appearing, 2) communication — as we should be prepared in season and out of season, and 3) determination — since people often prefer to turn aside from truth to myths.
