Thrive, an FIEC Women in Ministry conference, was held at Glenfall House, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, in mid-June.
Unsure of what to expect, I met servant-hearted women, serving sacrificially in their churches and relying on God. I came away with fresh ideas, helpful resources and new friends.
The lone man in the group, Greg Strain, pastor of Spicer Street in St. Albans, ministered throughout the conference, giving a series of passionate talks from Mark’s Gospel. He gently challenged us to reflect upon the power and person of Christ, and the freedom that we have in him; freedom from guilt and fear, and freedom to serve.
