May 11 saw the 24th Scottish Reformed Conference held at Hamilton College, with 400 Christians from around Scotland and the North of England gathered together to hear good preaching and enjoy fellowship with each other.
The speakers were Bill Hughes and Martin Allen. Bill spoke from Hebrews 1.3, powerfully highlighting the person of Christ: there is no higher enjoyment for the Christian than to be pointed to the glories of our Lord.
Martin Allen, former minister of Chryston Parish Church, spoke from Habakkuk 3.17-19. His theme was the pulse beat of biblical religion where the prophet says: ‘I will rejoice in the Lord’. His appeal to a confused church generation was timely and a true word from the Lord.
