Naturally, I like reviewing, critiquing, and commenting on things around me. Especially if those things are to do with church or the Christian community.
For a while, I was thinking about starting a YouTube channel or blog to review various sermons and songs put out in Christian circles. However, after some research, it seems like hundreds of people have had the same idea. One Man in the Middle is just one of them!
Rob Allwright is the man in the middle. He is based in the UK and has been blogging his song reviews for over a decade. These are also featured on a number of Christian radio stations.
Each review has a lot of information on the artist and album (socials, price, music label, track listing, etc). The reviews are thorough and it’s clear that Allwright has listened to the album in full and done his research. He also reviews books, movies, and radio channels.
The music review I read was of an album by Shane & Shane, a band that I enjoy and regularly listen to.
Music is subjective and what I like may not be what you like. However, to have a tool like One Man helps those less mature in the faith consider the Scriptural accuracy of what they are listening to.
