When You See a Cloud by Becki Dudley, New Leaf Press. I’ve just come across this series that merges a simple Bible story with some easy science. In this title it uses the story of the transfiguration where the disciples hear God’s voice in the cloud. The cloud taught them that they didn’t have to see God’s face to feel His presence.
My Bible Animals storybook by Dandi Mackall and Tyndale House has cartoon-style images, but also incorporates animal facts alongside the Bible narratives. (ISBN 978 1 414 383 538) The beauty of this book is how it uses the animal theme to convey spiritual truth.
For older children, 44 Animals of the Bible by Nancy Johnson and Master Books is more encyclopaedic in its vibe.
