Cert: 15. 137 mins

Unbroken tells the remarkable real-life story of Louis Zamperini (Jack O’Connell).

Coached by his brother Pete (Alex Russell), who wouldn’t let him settle for being nothing (‘A moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory’; ‘If you can take it, you can make it’), Louis represented the US at the 1936 Olympics as a runner. He then fought for the US in the Second World War, and when his plane went down over the Pacific Ocean, he and others were stranded at sea for 47 days.
