From the director of Inception and the Dark Knight trilogy comes a brilliant serious sci-fi tale, starring Matthew McConaughey as a scientist and pilot who reluctantly leaves his family behind on a dying Earth on a mission to try and save humanity.

The film crafts believable characters and their emotional lives carry the viewer through the story. As such, it should appeal not only to fans of spaceship films, but also to anyone who enjoys character drama, or exploring ideas for that matter.
