THE SIXTY MINUTE GRANDPARENT
By
Rob Parsons
Hodder & Stoughton. 128 pages. £11.99
ISBN 978 1 444 745 696

In the last but one paragraph of the book Rob Parsons says: ‘When grandparenting works best, it does so as a support to both parents and children’. The book is a good, sensible guide which if followed can help grandparents achieve this aim.

The author demonstrates that the role of a grandparent is complementary to that of a parent and gives useful advice on how to fulfil that role. I particularly liked the idea that grandparents are the keepers of the family memories.
