The lengthy and definitive biography was published in two volumes and appeared in 1982 and 1990 respectively. This book by the original biographer, Iain Murray, is first and foremost a condensed version of the same material. It makes Lloyd-Jones’s life available in a more accessible form to a new generation. However, it also gives the author an opportunity to comment on what has been written about the doctor more recently.
