TAP WATER & TIDAL WAVES
A year alongside mothers and children around the world
By Fiona Castle & Carolyn Savjani. Global Care. 57 pages. £9.99
ISBN 978 0 953 392 919

Global Care is a UK-based charity seeking to provide practical Christian aid to vulnerable children in Africa, Asia and needy areas of Europe. Within these pages are found true stories from families who are suffering due to poverty, abuse, neglect, war and natural disasters. Some are hard to read, with their graphic descriptions and photographs that tug at the heart-strings, but in almost all cases Global Care has been able to bring assistance that seeks to give a positive future to children and, through them, to their families.

As you read you know that the writers have been there, seen the reality of need and been deeply moved by their experiences. The way that Global Care has helped so many of these children to be able to have an education, or a home, is great testimony to the founder, Ron Newby, who was not willing or able to stand back and do nothing about the need that he saw. His vision began a charity that has had enormous impact in many lives.
