This book was written by Juliet Barker, who first visited Caring for Life with her husband, the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire, in 2004 when they accompanied the Countess of Wessex on a royal visit.

Published to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the formation of the charity, this account traces its development from the circumstances that triggered its small beginnings to the present day care and support extended to the vulnerable and homeless.
