As conservative evangelicals, we all agree we must preach Christ, but to what degree and depth hugely varies. Edgar Andrews’s heartfelt plea is simple: Scripture not only commands we do, but in the Old and New Testaments all its preachers model preaching Christ. Numerous examples are given: Stephen in Acts 7 and Jesus’ own teaching of himself (chapter 7) I found most stimulating.
