BEING A CHRISTIAN HUSBAND
By Colin Hamer
Evangelical Press. 128 pages. £6.95
ISBN 0 85234 577 1

The Introduction sums up the confusion that prevails in our society about every gender issue, and the associated strains this puts on marriage, family and society.

As with every other part of the book, it is to the point and eminently readable. The author’s declared intention is ‘to explore what role God had in mind for man as a husband’. He probes issues such as the nature of marriage, modern views of masculinity and then, by contrast, the perfect start lined out in Genesis 2.
