TRAVELS WITH A PRIMATE
By Terry Waite
Harper Collins . 240 pages. £7.99
ISBN 0 00 710633 5

A light-hearted quick read which would make a nice Christmas present for a Terry Waite fan.

Each chapter tells of the adventures of the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie, on his travels to different parts of the world, through the eyes of his special envoy. Not the book for someone who wanted to gain a deep understanding of the reasons for these journeys, or what the Archbishop was attempting to achieve, or what was going on at the time in the Anglican communion, but entertaining nevertheless.
