MAD FOR JESUS:
The Vision of the World Wide Message Tribe
By Andy Hawthorne. Hodder & Stoughton. 132 pages. £6.99
ISBN 0 340 74563 0

This book is the story of Andy Hawthorne, one of the founders of the Christian band the World Wide Message Tribe (WWMT). It describes his conversion, how the band started and the vision to reach school-kids with the message of the gospel.

It's also about the Eden Project - an initiative to radically rejuvenate Manchester's inner-city. The idea was spawned by the observation that the church in general has abandoned our inner-cities. The Eden Project is trying to reverse that by drafting in hundreds of committed youth workers and evangelists to live on one of the roughest council estates in the UK.
