The Bible tells a complete story. It is the meta-narrative of creation and fall, to redemption and glory which the post-modern world needs again to grasp.

This book, originally a series of talks on Premier Radio by the late Lesslie Newbigin, takes us through that story in eight short chapters. In such a short book, much is glossed over, but there is Newbigin's clarity and brilliant perceptiveness in many areas. However, subjects such as Israel as an instrument of God's judgment on the inhabitants of the promised land and the propitiatory nature of the cross of Christ are ignored or fudged. Still, it is worth a read.
